Network EngineerANG SIGNAL is looking for a Network Engineer to join our team supporting the federal government in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will provide network engineering and support of the enterprise network to support the mission of our federal client, and will have hands-on experience with cloud migrations, network security, and cyber security. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong technical foundation and a passion for secure, scalable, and resilient network solutions. ANG SIGNAL offers a competitive benefits package including paid time off, paid holidays; medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage plans; matching 401K plan and tuition/training reimbursement.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide technical support on network and cabling issuesSupport the LAN and WAN infrastructure, remote sites, and data centersConfigure and manage Cisco routers, switches and firewallsMonitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal uptime and reliabilityInstall, wire, and test networking equipment in data centers and telecom closets following detailed engineering diagrams.Troubleshoot network and cabling problems and coordinate with the various department administrators to facilitate troubleshooting effortsParticipate in lab configuration and testing of new technologiesPrepare network topology diagrams, write Standard Operating Procedures, maintenance plans and provide status reports as requiredParticipate in data calls and other operational and maintenance tasksQualifications2+ years experience in a Network Engineering roleCisco Routers and Switches hands-on experienceHands-on experience with physical network deployment, data center racking, and structured cabling best practicesExperience configuring and running firewalls is preferredExperience with Aruba wireless and switches, and Fortinet firewalls, is a plusGeneral understanding of project management processes and terminologyAbility to multitask and set prioritiesBachelor's Degree or equivalentBackground check / Clearance Requirements: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. We are unable to sponsor applicants for work visas at this time. Compensation: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
