Position: Aluminum Polisher / CNC Parts Finishing Technician
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: 7AM to 5:30PM

About the Position

We are looking for a skilled Aluminum Polisher / CNC Parts Finishing Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for polishing, deburring, blending, and finishing precision CNC-machined aluminum components to meet customer specifications and high-quality cosmetic standards.

The ideal candidate has experience working with aluminum parts and understands how to achieve a consistent, high-quality finish without damaging critical dimensions or surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Polish and finish CNC-machined aluminum components using hand tools, pneumatic tools, sanding equipment, polishing wheels, and other finishing equipment.
• Remove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks, scratches, and other surface imperfections.
• Blend and smooth machined surfaces while maintaining required part dimensions and tolerances.
• Produce consistent cosmetic finishes on aluminum components.
• Inspect parts visually and dimensionally to ensure they meet quality requirements.
• Follow drawings, work instructions, and customer specifications.
• Protect finished surfaces from scratches, dents, and other damage during handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Properly use and maintain polishing, grinding, sanding, and finishing equipment.
• Identify quality issues and communicate problems to supervisors or quality personnel.
• Follow all company safety and manufacturing procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience polishing, deburring, grinding, or finishing CNC-machined aluminum parts preferred.
• Experience working with aluminum and understanding how different abrasives and polishing techniques affect the material.
• Ability to recognize cosmetic defects and produce consistent finishes.
• Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to use basic measuring and inspection equipment.
• Manufacturing or machine-shop experience preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand-finishing operations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or precision manufacturing.
• Experience finishing tight-tolerance CNC-machined components.
• Experience with Scotch-BriteTM, abrasive wheels, flap wheels, sanding discs, polishing wheels, and hand-finishing tools.
• Familiarity with aluminum alloys such as 6061, 7075, and similar materials.
• Experience working from engineering drawings and documented work instructions.
